Demir Williford, his nephew, Timur, and his wife, Lineke, work as a team traveling the world and bringing back what they find to their 13,000-SF warehouse and store on nearly two acres in Durham, North Carolina.
"We are direct importers of found, one-of-a-kind vintage and antique European imports, lighting and rugs since 1995. Each item is curated by Team Nomad by attending many different markets throughout Europe,” Lineke says.
While “nomadic” is the best way to describe them, Demir says, “For us, there is no other place than Round Top. This show brings in buyers from all over the world. They are all looking for the unusual products that you can't find anywhere else.”

Nomadic Trading Company returns to Market Hill and to Excess II. Among the one-of-a-kind products Nomadic Trading Company offers are antique rugs, many of which they will bring to Market Hill. Demir’s showroom at Market Hill is an impressive scene with stacks and stacks of rugs as well as larger ones hanging from the ceiling. You could spend hours in there, uncovering treasure after treasure.
“Although we are mostly known for our well-priced and exquisite handmade rugs selection, we are quickly making our mark with our fine European furniture and lighting,” Lineke says. This makes us excited to see what’s in store at Market Hill this fall.
Demir adds, “Market Hill has moved the bar up a notch. It’s an opportunity for us to not only sell our unique items but also be inspired by all the other dealers like us who love what they do. It’s special, a true partnership.”
