Native Son Family Restaurant
Now open at Market Hill | Building 2
Native Son brings the flavors and traditions of East Texas to Round Top. Created by Ryan and Maxine Sumner, the restaurant celebrates the food, culture, and hospitality that define the region.
The concept first found success in historic downtown Canton, Texas and now joins the Market Hill community in Building 2.
Inspired by family heirloom recipes and regional traditions, the menu blends Southern, Cajun, and Texan influences into dishes that feel both familiar and memorable. Guests can expect wood-fired steaks, char-grilled oysters, house-made po’ boys, elevated muffulettas, Gulf Coast seafood, and classic burgers.
The bar features craft cocktails, a thoughtful wine and spirits list, and Texas favorites like ice-cold Lone Star. Native Son offers a relaxed setting where guests can gather, share a great meal, and enjoy genuine East Texas hospitality.
